The first thing that struck me about the Lovehoney Shadow Lily Basque was the beautiful colour. It is slightly darker than the photo but no less attractive for that. A rich deep purple that evokes burlesque, decadence and evenings of lavish lovemaking. The body is supportive but not restricting - there is no boning (tee hee - boning!) so you won't feel hemmed in or super cinched. However, this basque will still give you a lovely shape. The material is soft and supple but with a strong stretch. I loved the way it hugged my curves and smoothed my silhouette. The longer length and arched hem elongates the torso and made me feel really sexy. The contrast between the lace and the glossy side panels is also really effective in terms of drawing the eye and emphasising your figure. There are no fastenings or hook and eye fittings to negotiate - just step into the basque and shimmy your way in. There is a back strap that can be altered in the same manner as the bra straps if you're looking for a little more or less room, but it's really low effort in terms of getting it on. The suspender straps are strong and well stitched. I also appreciated that the fastenings themselves are a shiny silver, rather than black, as I always enjoy a bit of well-placed bling. The detailing on this piece is really pretty too. From the scallop-edged lace to the ubiquitous Lovehoney heart symbol nestled at the centre. I particularly liked the corset-like detail over the bust and the deep dip at the back, both of which add a little something extra, that is both classy and flirty. I was really surprised by the pants as, often with items of lingerie like this, you get a rather stringy functional affair with not a lot going for it. The matching knickers in this case perfectly complement the rest of the outfit, being made from the same super-smooth material with a thick band of the gorgeous soft lace encircling the waist. Again, the scalloped edging gives a flattering line and sits beautifully on the front hips in particular. They feel really well made and not just a secondary afterthought. I found this an extremely comfortable piece to wear - the sizing was very true (size Large accommodated my size 14/16 shape perfectly). It has all the sleek lines of a more structured piece with none of the encumbrance. Certainly, something I could easily wear under clothing on an evening out, rather than just popping on purely for bedroom fun. My Husband was very taken with the bust detail and really liked the thong back coupled with the lacier aspects. A perfect (a)rousing success.

Upon removing the basque and matching thong from the standard clear Lovehoney packaging, the first thing to notice was the beautiful purple colour of the products itself but also the lace design over the cup/bust, down the middle of the basque which is finished off with a criss-cross detailing over the cleavage area and the Lovehoney brand charm hanging from the centre which gives an added sexiness, although my wife would much prefer to not have the criss-cross design. The thong also has the pretty lace design around the hips/waist. Another thing the wife noticed was how soft the materials are to touch and how well it appears to be made. When trying on the basque and thong the wife found that it fit comfortably as the material is stretchy and due to this it gives a nice snug fit, however; the basque is not underwired but whether you need to tighten/loosen the shoulder strap or back strap, adjustments can be easily made using the sliders and do not easily loosen by themselves, so you feel very well supported with a nice fit. On the backside of the basque is a V-shaped design which entices you to look lower down your OHs body to get a nice view of the derriere. Overall this is a really gorgeous set that is comfortable to wear and is made to Lovehoney's usual high standards. We would highly recommend you matching this up with a pair of your favourite stockings to give an added sex appeal.

I have this in a siZe 1x-2x and it fits me fine ! First off, I should say there is no boning or support in this basque. It is 100% soft and comfortable. The structure mainly comes from the elastic under the bust and the stretch of the material. The martial is very stretchy and super soft .... I adore it ! The lace detail is very pretty and creates a body contour effect, enhancing my curves and drawing the eye to all the right places.It is very plus size friendly. The wider shoulder straps give good support which helps due to the lack of wires or boning. The knickers are beautiful. The wide waist band covers my mummy tummy perfectly and they are definitely a part of the outfit rather than a quick added extra. The purple is a deep shade and I think it’s very sexy and makes a change from the generic use black and red to create a sexy look.It washes well and can be worn again and again as it is very well made and a good quality.

A Beautiful Set

Pretty, sexy and quite classy looking, this basque has it all by the bucketload! It's got a gorgeously soft feel and the colour is so beautiful, a kind of rich, deep plum purple. The lacy front panel helped hold everything in place nicely. The suspender straps are quite robust and slightly wider than usual, they also have metal suspender clips! I loved these as I find they make it easier to attached the stockings. Lengthwise this basque is about right for me, I'm 5 ft 4 and the bottom of it covered my lower tummy area perfectly The whole body of it lies perfectly against the skin giving a flattering, streamlined look.There is a thick underbust band that is adjustable with a slider at the back and this helps with support enormously as this isn't an underwired item. The cups are stretchy but no overly so and have a lacey overlay so you get the double layer effect which again helps with support. The shoulder straps are wide, comfortable and adjust like normal bra straps which is a necessity if you have a larger set of boobs like I have. The more delicate looking criss cross strapping across the front of the bust helps to prevent boob fallout and is lovely feature.The only drawback to all of this is the cups could have been a bit more generous in size. I found it hard to get my 36 GG/H boobs in the right position where there wasn't a load of armpit fat/boob spilling out at the sides. If the cups had been more generous and not cut quite so shallow towards the under arm area that would have been perfection! On to the knickers that come as part of the set now...these are stunning! They're not crotchless and there's a nice full front to these with the wider lace running all the way round to the back.The thong back is fuller and with stretch for comfort. These could easily be worn all day such is the comfort level . I'd give this full marks if it wasn't for the boob issue but I would suggest if you have a large bust then maybe go a size up.

It smooths out my love handles thanks to its wide sides and the stretchy but not extremely soft lace. Most sexy thongs are crotchless, so I really like that this one isn't.In order to complete the look, I paired this set with classic sheer black stockings that have a lace band on top. Because of the pandemic we don't meet as often with my partners, but I surprised my boyfriend by wearing it for a videocall. I looked stunning and he absolutely loved it!To wash this set I put it in a lingerie bag, run it in the ''hand wash'' cycle and let it air dry.All in all, I really love this set and have nothing negative to say about it. Step Out Of The Shadows

The first thing that struck me about the Lovehoney Shadow Lily Basque was the beautiful colour. It is slightly darker than the photo but no less attractive for that. A rich deep purple that evokes burlesque, decadence and evenings of lavish lovemaking. The body is supportive but not restricting - there is no boning (tee hee - boning!) so you won't feel hemmed in or super cinched. However, this basque will still give you a lovely shape. The material is soft and supple but with a strong stretch. I loved the way it hugged my curves and smoothed my silhouette. The longer length and arched hem elongates the torso and made me feel really sexy. The contrast between the lace and the glossy side panels is also really effective in terms of drawing the eye and emphasising your figure.There are no fastenings or hook and eye fittings to negotiate - just step into the basque and shimmy your way in. There is a back strap that can be altered in the same manner as the bra straps if you're looking for a little more or less room, but it's really low effort in terms of getting it on. The suspender straps are strong and well stitched. I also appreciated that the fastenings themselves are a shiny sliver, rather than black, as I always enjoy a bit of well placed bling.The detailing on this piece is really pretty too. From the scallop edged lace to the ubiquitous Lovehoney heart symbol nestled at the centre. I particularly liked the corset-like detail over the bust and the deep dip at the back, both of which add a little something extra, that is both classy and flirty.I was really surprised by the pants as, often with items of lingerie like this, you get a rather stringy functional affair with not a lot going for it. The matching knickers in this case perfectly complement the rest of the outfit, being made from the same super smooth material with a thick band of the gorgeous soft lace encircling the waist. Again, the scalloped edging gives a flattering line and sits beautifully on the front hips in particular. They feel really well made and not just a secondary afterthought.I found this an extremely comfortable piece to wear - the sizing was very true (size Large accommodated my size 14/16 shape perfectly). It has all the sleek lines of a more structured piece with none of the encumbrance. Certainly something I could easily wear under clothing on an evening out, rather than just popping on purely for bedroom fun. My Husband was very taken with the bust detail and really liked the thong back coupled with the lacier aspects. A perfect (a)rousing success.
