Lovehoney kindly sent me this set to review. The kit really consists of the penis pump, a sleeve to provide the wearer some extra length (and girth), what is described as a “cage enhancer” and two stretchy rubber rings. Realistically, each of these parts can only really be used independently for one another (although I suppose the stretchy rings could be worn in conjunction with any of the other parts. The penis pump : This is the first penis pump that I have ever tried, however it seems to work exactly how it is supposed to and seems to be well made. The pump disassembles into three parts, the black rubber hand pump and clear rubber tube which attaches to the top of the cylinder, the clear plastic cylinder itself and the soft, jelly like rubber seal around the bottom. It is very easy to take apart and reassemble (good for cleaning). There seem to be two ways of putting the pump on. The first is to put some lube onto the penis and around the mouth of rubber seal at the bottom of the cylinder, place the tip of the penis into the seal, give the bulb a couple of pumps and let suction do its work. The second is to remove the rubber seal for the cylinder, stretch it around the penis and then put the cylinder over the top, fitting the seal part around it. I am probably fairly averagely sized and I found the seal was pretty much perfectly sized, in that it was tight enough to make a decent seal (see below), without being so tight as to cut off the blood supply! It is really soft and stretchy, so I think it would fit most. The cylinder itself is also the right size, in that I come nowhere close to filling it completely, so there is ‘plenty of room to grow into’, but equally it is not so huge as to be unwieldy or to make my old fellow look tiny! The pump seems to do a good job, gently removing the air from the cylinder. It is quite a strange feeling, not at all like having your penis sucked. A couple of pumps makes your penis start to expand and quite obviously increases the blood flow (the skin starts to turn a slightly darker shade and the veins become more pronounced, as when you have an erection). The pump is powerful enough to suck to the point of discomfort (but I don’t recommend this!) The first time I tried the pump out, I couldn’t get a decent seal around my penis and found that the rubber seal tugged uncomfortably on my short and curlies. This prompted a much needed ‘manscaping’ session to remove some of the hair from around the base of the penis and generally tidy things up. Once done, there was no unpleasant tugging and the seal was fine. A good result for all! I have used the pump a few times now. While it does not give me an instant erection, it does make my penis expand (both length and girth) in the tube. I have not been using it long enough to say for sure whether it can make any perminant difference to penis size. I suspect that it might make it a bit bigger when flaccid (if used regularly over time), but probably wouldn’t make a lot of difference to the erect size. The penis sleeve: Like the seal on the pump, the penis sleeve is made of a very soft jelly like rubber, which feels pleasant to the touch. The tip of the sleeve is a fairly realistic approximation of a real penis, but below that there are various soft ridges and bumps. The inside is ribbed, probably more to make it stay on during use than anything else. Putting it on can be a bit of a struggle, but it is very stretchy and soft, so I found the easiest way was to roll it back on itself like a condom, stretch the tip over the end of the penis roll it down the shaft. Once on it feels tight, but not uncomfortably so and is unlikely to slip off. I deliberately did not use lube to put it on as I think that might make it slip off the penis. Once on, it gives an extra inch or so in length, but also quite a lot of extra girth which might be a bit intimidating to some. You will definitely need some lube and a bit of warming up for use! The “cage enhancer”: This is made of the same soft jelly like rubber as the penis sleeve and pump seal. The idea (I think) is that you put it over your erect penis and then stretch the band at the bottom around the balls. This takes a bit of doing, but does work. Once on it gives quite a nice sensation of being squeezed, although like the pump, I didn’t find it instantly arrousing. I think that the idea is that “cage enhancer” is used during sex, the bands providing a bit more texture to the penis for the benefit of the woman, however the slightly comic appearance of your old man trussed up in this thing might be enough to make your partner think twice! The stretchy rubber bands: These again are made out of the same nice soft jelly rubber. The idea is that the centre hole is stretched over the penis, scrotum or both by pulling the two outer holes apart with your fingers. This works well and prevents too much skin pinching. I found the size and tightness of the bands about right, in that they were stretchy enough to go over everything and tight enough to exert a pleasant pressure, without being tourniquet like. Overall, if you want to try a penis pump, this is probably a pretty good option. It is well made, should last a long time and comes with the added bonuses of the other pieces in the kit. My only pieces of advice are, firstly don’t expect an instant and prolonged increase in penis size. Secondly, have a bit of a trim down below before use!
