First strap, love it

This is a good strap for the price. It’s very adjustable to fit all sizes, I’m a size US 16 and I had to cut off a lot on length from the straps. However, there isn’t anything to hold the excess straps, so they hang down. Not a big problem, but not cute in photos. The toys are nice. The small one is a perfect starter size for anal. My boyfriend and I worked up to the bigger toy in about two days. Both of them are stiff, not flexible, whether that’s good or bad comes down to preference. I like more flexible toys, personally, the red toy hurts me. My boyfriend likes it though.

Basic Strap-On Fun

Disclaimer out of the way: I was sent this kit by Lovehoney in exchange for this review, though this is the sort of product I would be likely to buy myself anyway. Me (F) and my partner (M) are well versed in the ways of strap-on sex and this kit is perfect for couples just starting out. It comes in Lovehoney's usual own brand packaging - a cardboard box with a picture of the product and some basic info. Inside is a basic jock style harness and the two dildos in separate sealed plastic bags for hygiene. I could have done without the plastic as both toys are made from silicone which I boil before use anyway! First off, the dildos. They are both made of the same super-smooth silicone and feel quite nice to just stroke. The firmness, in my opinion, is perfect for beginners to anal penetration/pegging in particular (though of course are perfectly fine for vaginal use as well). They are not unforgiving and hard but also not soft and bendy which can make first attempts at penetration awkward if you don't know what you're doing! I feel perfectly in control when wearing these toys, particularly the larger red one. This also has a hole in the base to insert a bullet if you feel like it though this doesn't work if you've got it in the harness as too much of the bullet pokes out. My partner found both toys pretty comfortable if smaller than what we usually play with! The small wavy black one is really quite tiny, slightly larger than my index finger so for us that got boring pretty fast. The red one is fine, if a little 'pokey' and intense so it's not his favourite but that's down to personal taste. Onto the harness: It is a very basic affair made from a couple of straps of nylon webbing, with a light padded driver pad at the front. It comes with three different sized O-rings which is brilliant as it allows you to use bigger or smaller dildos depending on your preference. I personally had always avoided this cheap style of harness as it has a bad rap for being uncomfortable. However, I found this was not necessarily the case. While yes, I still prefer my beautiful soft leather harnesses or even the increasingly popular panty style ones, this harness really isn't that bad. It is quite easy for me to adjust (though the buckles might not work so well if you have mobility/joint issues in your hands) and once in place, it does not move around. There is no minimum size so you can get it as tight as you want it. It is also extremely accommodating for plus size users too - I am a size 14/16 with 44-inch hips and there was a lot of excess strapping both around my hips and thighs to the point I have had to trim them as they just get in the way. Unlike in the product photo, the driver pad actually sits much lower down over my mons which is exactly where you want it to be for optimum control. My main negative point: The strapping does chafe a little, particularly in the crotch area which is not ideal. It wasn't bad enough to distract from the enjoyment of the act, but it did remind me how much I prefer my other softer harnesses. However, if you're just starting out/experimenting or don't really play with strap ons that often then I don't think it's a really big deal. Overall I can't really knock this kit. It is unintimidating and has everything you need to get going straight out of the box.

It was very easy to switch out different toys into the harness, though. I really recommend it just for the harness alone! It is easily adjustable so it sits in just the right spot for me. I have washed it often and it has withstood that, too!

Good Value For Money

For the price it is very good value for money. My (F) and my gf find it brilliant and have had no issues with it. Size of the dildo is good and not too thick to be uncomfortable. The harness is slightly uncomfortable and does not always feel secure and sometimes comes loose. Overall it is a good starter strap on.
