Rather than a standard bra fixing though, there is a wide gap between the leather sections, joined by two thin, stretchy easily adjustable straps. Those straps are also replicated in the shoulder straps. The panties feature the same wide leather band around the waist, joining at the back with a bra-style fitting which should enable it to fit a good range of sizes. The lace panels at the front and back do not extend all the way round - leaving the sides completely open, bar the straps - which looks stunning. The crotch is stylishly split with a slight crossover at the top front. There are three hanging straps on each side (one from the back, two from the front) which lead to a ring, from which a stocking clip is suspended. It’s a really unusual design which looks extremely effective in use. Fit-wise, we had no complaints, and the pair of us really liked them, both aesthetically and from a sexiness point of view! I expect this refers to the stunning snakeskin style pattern to the mesh, and it really is a beautiful effect. As always, this item arrived quickly and in plain packaging. As it was a secret tester, we had only seen a single photo of it. It's quite exciting because you don't really know what it's going to look like. We are huge fans of mesh, wet look, PVC and latex, so this range has been an absolute winner for us, and this surprise product did not disappoint. Essentially, it's quite simple, with a bra and high-waisted underwear complete with suspenders. The bra is mainly mesh with some wet look trim, and my OH loved it as much as I did. She said it was comfortable as well as feeling really hot. It has a push-up and push-together effect and just looks amazing. The high-waisted underwear is crotchless, and that's always a welcome surprise. The part around the waist is like a wet look-style belt, and the rest is mesh with a trim. The really nice touch is the unusual style of the suspenders. They aren't straight - instead, they curve or weave around. It's a really cool effect, and they are reassuringly sturdy. We tried this with a pair of our wet look stockings and it looked phenomenal. Remember that stockings are not part of the product, so get some! You could also just remove the suspenders, but they are the touch of innovation that really makes this product. The only drawbacks are a little bit of chafing from the crotchless part when I was taking my OH from behind, but it really isn't too bad, and the actual fittings that attach the suspenders to stockings are a little bit fiddly. That aside, we love this product, and actually tried it out in the same evening as another one from this range. It was a very late night. Highly recommended!

I love the Fierce range and everything in it so I was excited for this collection and the top being like a crop top style was pleasing, as I'm so over underwires in 2020! The knickers fitted me well, the wet look waistband looks like a belt and gives good waist definition. I liked the high waist line of them too. The attached diagonal suspenders is a very cool touch and can be detached if you don't want to wear stockings with them. Top tip is a soft unwired crop top style with adjustable shoulder and back straps, so you can really make it fit you well using the sliders. However the front depth lets it down a bit if I'm honest. It's not advertised as a half cup but it should be, as the depth of the bra top is so shallow it doesn't cover anything really so makes it not really wearable, which is a shame as it had so much promise! You can't really tell from the model picture but I guess she is quite little so maybe not a problem for smaller busted ladies. Honestly if it had even 1 inch more fabric I would be wearing the heck outta this! I know it's not what you'd call everyday underwear but still if I wore this on a date I'd have to wear another bra or cami over the top to prevent the dreaded 4 boob effect! I guess if this came as separates I could have ordered a larger size for the top which might have worked.

Sweaty and restricting

I was very kindly sent this item to test and review - thank you, Lovehoney! In usual Lovehoney style, it arrived quickly, discreetly packaged and by a tracked delivery service so I knew when to expect my item. By this point, I'd already tried another set from the new Serpentine range and had been largely disappointed by a lack of 'snakeskin' (glossy wet look) and how uncomfortable and unflattering it was. I was still holding out hope when trying on the bra - it has suspender-strap style fastenings at the back so maybe this would make up for how constricting I find the wet-look material. It's definitely an improvement as I can wear this bra relatively comfortably although the shoulder straps feel surprisingly short and constricting even on the longest setting. It's strange because all it's tightness has the strange effect of reducing my cleavage and making me look really flat-chested. I find the style of this bra quite sporty and masculine-feeling, which I rather like, but because of that I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone who expects this set to be sultry or feminine. Once I saw the knickers, my heart fell as I realised this set was going to be another disappointment like the other. The elasticated waistbands on both of the Serpentine sets I tried are so incredibly uncomfortable and unflattering. They heat up against the skin so I feel hot and sweaty, and although they have a lot of give to the elastic, it's in such a way that it wants to revert back to as tight as it can be, which means that if you aren't completely firm, any squishiness just gets pushed up above or down below the waistband. I could not imagine wearing this underneath an outfit because it would be like the exact opposite of slimming smoothing underwear. It also feels constricting around my waist in a way that digs in and inhibits me from breathing properly. As much as I usually love Lovehoney lingerie and how much I wanted to like these sets, I find them hellish to wear and as much as I hate wasting clothing, I just can't imagine ever wearing the knickers of this set. It also has hook and eye fastenings at the back of the waistband to give a small amount of adjustability, but with how constricting the fabric is, it just isn't worth having this detail. It's so much faff for no payoff. The design of the knickers is really interesting and I wish that it looked nicer when actually worn. I think if the waistband material was more forgiving and could sit against the skin without digging into it, maybe the cut-out section revealing the hips would work because the straps that go across the bottom are stretchy and comfortable, but as it is, it's extremely unflattering. It also includes an interesting triangular style suspender strap design which again I love the idea of but in practice, I had to immediately remove it since it sits totally wrong on me - but at least they were designed so you can have the choice to easily take it off! The knickers are crotchless and I can tell that it's been well thought-out and designed as the fabric layers in such a way that it has a gap without leaving an obvious hole in the fabric. It's well-placed and also the gusset of the underwear is lined so the inside part that has contact with intimate areas is not made from mesh. It's these kinds of small details that make Lovehoney lingerie so amazing, so I'm really surprised that such huge details like the waistbands. In theory, this set should be lovely. I'm sure that the product images of models wearing it will look lovely, but I can only give my experience with it and I can't see myself ever wanting to wear it because of how constricting and uncomfortable it is.

Weird Bra, Basically Half Cup But Less Flattering

This is definitely a unique underwear set and I love the creativity. However, I found this set a bit weird and ultimately unflattering. The bra is super small, basically a lounge bra but almost half cups it's so low. I am an A cup who is only 5 ft tall, size 6-10, and even I thought this was weirdly small - I struggle to see how anyone with larger than B cups wouldn't just have their boobs basically hanging out? Despite the short length of the cup section, it also didn't result in much flattery of cleavage, with no attempts at boosting my boobs and in fact seemed to make them look further apart. I might recommend this as more of a comfort bra, but then the waistband also didn't seem comfy enough for this purpose, so I am perhaps overall not the target market for this set, as I really just don't "get" it. I'll be honest, I didn't try the knickers as I tried the bra and immediately knew it was a no, but the bra seemed to be accurate to sizing on the waistband and was of decent quality. All in all, will not ever be trying another bra that looks to be in this style.

Only drawback is that they’re crotchless, so you can’t really wear them under outfits. Just need a pair of stockings to go with the set now!
